Work Order Creation

Work Order Creation

Generating work orders in Toscana ERP is a straightforward process. If you've previously used calculations for your sales quotes, you can seamlessly convert them into work orders. The system intelligently identifies the necessary production steps and schedules the work order with its respective deadline. Additionally, it recommends suitable employees and machines for each task. Naturally, you retain the flexibility to make adjustments if you're not satisfied with the system's choices.

Work order features

The format of work orders is tailored to suit specific client requirements. Some standard features typically include a list of production steps and the assigned employees for each step. Next to these steps, employees can find login codes for registering their progress when commencing a task. Additionally, most work orders incorporate visual designs to provide employees with a clear vision of the final product. They also contain notes and crucial instructions for the workforce. These instructions can apply to the entire work order if relevant to all personnel or can be specific to a particular step if only affecting one employee or department.

Work orders can exist in both digital and paper formats, each with its own advantages. Digital work orders offer real-time visibility to production staff, allowing them to instantly access new orders and any critical updates from the production manager with just one click. This digital approach saves substantial time compared to the physical transportation of paper work orders to the production floor.

On the other hand, paper work orders are user-friendly, particularly for individuals less familiar with computers. As a starting point, we often recommend companies to consider using paper work orders due to their ease of use and familiarity.

Employee login

Logging into work orders is essential for monitoring your production processes and gaining real-time insights into your shop floor activities. We've streamlined the login process to ensure users can focus on their tasks rather than spending excessive time at their computers.

Employees have two convenient methods for signing in, depending on whether they use paper or digital work orders. They can either scan a barcode or enter a code displayed alongside their name. Alternatively, they can simply select their name on the screen, locate the scheduled work order, and log in. Once they complete a step, they can return to their regular tasks until they finish that particular order and are prepared to start a new one. This user-friendly approach enhances productivity and efficiency on the shop floor while giving you a real-time overview of your production.
